American Ginseng Extract

American Ginseng Root Extract, also called Panax Ginseng ( Panax quinquefolium)

One of the most popular and well known herbal remedies, this extract is made from the root of ginseng that is native to North America. Also called "White" Ginseng. All ginseng root is white except for Chinese Ginseng cured. White Ginseng Extract is considered to be an "adaptogen". In simple terms, an adaptogen is an herb that helps the body adapt to and recover from stress.

White Ginseng is different from Red Cured Ginseng, as it is "cooler" and more appropriate for those who tend the be energetically warm (Type-A).

Most of the world’s ginseng supply is cultivated on farms because wild ginseng is an endangered species. Ginseng growers have begun planting ginseng rootlets in the wild and then beginning harvesting it after 7 years. This allows for the protection of the wild ginseng population.
